The Dr. Reema Mathur Foundation is committed to advancing nutrition science and public health through research, education, and community outreach across India.

Research & Scientific Advancement: To encourage, support and grant aids for scientific research in the field of nutrition and dietetics across all age groups including infants, children, adolescents, women, adults, and the elderly with the aim of advancing the understanding of nutritional science and its impact on human health and wellbeing in India.

Scholarships & Fellowships: To institute, grant, and administer scholarships, fellowships, and research grants to deserving students, scientists, nutritionists, dietitians, and researchers pursuing academic or applied work in the fields of nutrition, food science, public health nutrition, and related disciplines at recognized universities and research institutions across India.

Collaborations & Partnerships: To collaborate with, contribute, and partner with universities, colleges, hospitals, research laboratories, and public health bodies in India for the purpose of conducting, publishing, and disseminating nutrition-related research of national importance.

Awareness Campaigns & Community Outreach: To organize, support, and implement nutrition awareness campaigns, workshops, seminars, conferences, and community outreach programs aimed at educating individuals, families, and communities across India on the importance of balanced nutrition, healthy dietary practices, and prevention of nutritional deficiencies.

Targeted Interventions for Vulnerable Populations: To support research and field programs specifically targeting the prevention and reduction of malnutrition, micronutrient deficiencies, obesity, and diet-related noncommunicable diseases (NCDs) among vulnerable populations, including children under five, pregnant and lactating women, and the elderly.

Policy Engagement & Advocacy: To engage with central and state government departments, ICMR, FSSAI, NIN, and other statutory bodies to contribute evidence-based nutritional research towards the formulation of national nutrition policies, dietary guidelines, and public health programs.

Centres of Excellence & Capacity Building: To establish, support, or grant aids to centres of excellence, nutrition labs, and training programs that strengthen the research capacity of individuals and institutions working in the field of nutrition science across India.

Interdisciplinary Research: To promote interdisciplinary research connecting nutrition science with medicine, agriculture, food technology, environmental science, and social sciences, recognizing that nutrition challenges require holistic, multi-sectoral solutions.

Social Impact & Quality of Life: To initiate, plan, execute, implement, aid and assist activities directed towards enhancing the quality of life of the poor and needy sections of society without reference to race, religion, creed, caste or sex and to seek ways and means of reducing and ultimately eradicating malnutrition and improving their health and physical and mental condition and well-being and pursue all such aspects thereof that would help in achieving the said objective in a sustainable and scalable way.
